Surfed into this while playing weekend warrior. I've rather lost touch with PVA over the years. Brief history (mostly true)-Left PVA for AUC, Phil. UC, PUC and then graduated from LLU (Anthropology). Joined the Army and taught sailing (go figure)and skiin in Germany for a couple of years. Graduated from UC, Santa Barbara (History)while doing a stint in the Marine Reserves and then went into the Air Force (free uniforms do it for me I guess). Later I traveled a good deal, drove truck for United Van Lines, orked in business, fooled around and then went back to university (National) for an education degree. I also joined the CA Army National Guard. So now I teach rowdy inter-city 7th graders by day and work as a part-time consultant for a geography program. Was Teacher of the Year for our school (I stuffed the ballot box) and our district's Teacher Hero last year (they must want something). I also got out of the Army Guard and into the CA Air Guard (you should have seen the recruiter)where I work as the wing historian. I travel alot (went back to my birthplace, Venezuela last summer), play on the puter, read, motorcycle and ski...sail when I can afford it. After 46 years of being single (to paraphase Groucho Marx-I didn't want to belong to any woman who'd have me for a husband...bad joke)I finally got married to a Colorado girl. Of course as she vastly outranks me in the military it was a direct order. We live in Stockton, CA with my collection of travel junk and 3 dogs (two of indeterminate heritage) and a half-cat/half-human creature. When we were at PVA our daughter, Alana, was 3-7 years old. In 1980 we returned to Pacific Union College where Alan I had met and graduated from several years earlier. In 1995 Alana graduated from PUC and on June 25, two weeks later, she married Sean Mu phy (whom she met here). We are still here! Alana and her husband live in the foothills of the Sierras about three hours away.

Enlisted in the USAF in '73 and after tours in Taiwan, Nebraska, Alaska, Arizona, Germany and back to Nebraska I retired in '97 as a Master Sgt. Ok so it was quick and brief. It's great to find your site after being told there was one. Thank you. I graduated from PVA in spring of 1970. Went to AUC & graduated with an AS in Nursing in spring of 1973. I worked more than 10 yrs at the prior New England Memorial Hospital in St neham, Ma. with a break to take classes at Andrews. There I sang with the University Chorale. In Stoneham I sang 3 yrs with the Polymnia Chorale with symphony. We did works such as Beethoven's Ninth. I moved back to Maine in 1985 & married Duncan R. S eele June 15, 1986. He is a police officer & had also attended the Culinary Institute of America -also known as the CIA:)-to become a chef. We will have been married 12 yrs this June. No children but a beautiful German Shepherd dog. I am busy teaching piano at Riverview Memorial School-a 10 grade SDA school, teaching community piano students, playing for 3 choirs, backup musician for the local Baptist church, organist & pianist for Norridgewock SDA Church, & in charge of ordering & overseeing the organ c produce department in my brother's natural food store called Spice of Life. I sing alto & was in charge of assisting the piano students at this year's Music Clinic held at Pinetree Academy. I have had to give up nursing due to a back injury caused by pl in Mass. running into my car:( but find that God is blessing in my music ministry. Thank you for having this site here. I don't feel quite so displaced now. Oh, almost forgot. I am also an op in the adventist chat room called #Adventist in dalnet. My wife (Dee Ann Hackett) and I have been married for 10 years this coming August and we are expecting our first child with a due date of May 19. According to the interpretations of the ultrasound it is a boy. We are excited! Dee Ann graduates from medical school here at Loma Linda on May 24. We will then be moving to Bristol Tenn., in the middle of June, where Dee Ann will be doing her three year residency in Family Medicine. I will be staying home and taking care of the little one.

It's great that this is happening! It's so much fun getting back in touch with old friends. I'm a nurse living in the mountains of Western North Carolina, in Asheville. I work in a GYN/oncologists' office. I am single. I live within 2 miles of my sister Penny (class of '67) and my brother John (class of '72??) and their families. My parents live about 1 1/2 hrs away in Spartanburg, SC. I am an active member of the Mt Pisgah Academy SDA church. Hope to hear from some old friends. Next plan to check out the "future reunions" site.

We would love to hear from all our PVA friends! We have four children, Ronnie Jr., 24; Richie, 21; James, 18; and Melissa, 16. Ronnie and his wife, Niscah, just made us GRANDPARENTS on Dec 11, 1997, to the cutest little girl, Sarah Nichole. We will be elebrating our Silver Anniversary (25th) this Christmas Eve. Ron is going to school full time to get a degree in Semi Conductor Technology. He decided it was time for a change! Nidia is principal at Heritage Christian Academy. Greg and Mabel (Loignon) Reaves live near us and so does Artie Loignon. Dr Randall Butler (remember history classes?) is here in Keene, TX too! He is the librarian at SWAU.

As of last Aug. Greg and I have been married 25 years. Six of those years were spent in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 3 in CA and the rest just south of Ft. Worth, TX. I have 2 children, Christopher 16 and Sonya 14. The last 5 years I taught at a small scho l, Nidia (Gerard) Moller taught with me the last 2. I am currently assistant manager in a natural food dept, at Harvest market, taking some time off from teaching. I'd love to hear from anyone from PVA.

Graduated from Campion, Class of '67----after spending the rest of 65-66 at GNYA. PVA was too "Windswept" and isolated for me. Now live in Lubbock, TX, spent 13 years in the U.S. Army---1 yr. in Vietnam and 3 yrs. in Germany--and a lot of time in Texas, finally coming back to Mass. to Natick Labs. Am married to Heidi Horsley, from Stoneham, who also attended PVA for one Semester (1972?? she thought it was too "Windswept" and isolated too) (big grin) A big HI, to all the good folks in Maine that came fro PTA or SLA!
