Please add Stephen Aijala to the class of 1969 and Becky Aijala to the class of 1977. While visiting Sue Meikle in Michigan, my attempt to sign in the guest book didn't succeed. While not connected daily to computers except to order lab work, X-rays and check the results at St. Joseph Hospital Corporate Care, the library system in Rhode Island offers good libraries and access. Being listed in the National 411 directory is adequate for other communication. Otherwise, bad politics and the good sunsets see on the television show "Providence" are distinctive characteristics of my home state of Rhode Island. I had work in Northern Californina for a few years, where several family members and many pva alumni are (except I only met people who knew Norman Knigh and never crossed paths). Hi to all those missing Class of 1970 friends (including Norman) and to the Sacramento Spaghetti Factory pva New England sports teams loyalists. One comment regarding the unauthorized use of our photographs: please get our perm ssion or send out the standard modeling fee or remove them from the site. Thanks. Hey Paul! This is really great! Thank you for setting this site up! I am currently the Independent Living Program Manager for the Maine Department of Human Services, Bureau of Child & Family Services. This is a program for all older youth in foster ca e in Maine ages 16 to 21+. This is a program that assists older youth in care with independent living preparation and life skills education. Prior to this, I worked directly with teens in foster care as a caseworker with the Department of Human Services most of whom were committed to state custody through the juvenile criminal court. I am most grateful and humbled to be able to work with these phenomenal young people! I am still very active with sports; particularly basketball! It may surprise my for er classmates to know that I have been singing solo and in groups at various churches (SDA and non-SDA) for the past 18 years! I wish I had been in the PVA choir, but I was too shy! This site is a wonderful thing, Paul! Thanks again.

Hey Paul, great site! Doug Knowlton and Valerie Clifford were just here for a visit and he pulled this up. One correction on the past/present page - the class trip to Washington isn't 71. We went to Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket. I see Beverly Rouse in t; I think she was 72 or maybe 73. Keep up the good work. Christmas day 1999...been a busy year with military deployments, teaching school and travel to Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uraguay (and almost Paraguay but that's a looong story). Have heard from a couple of my classmates and it's good to know their stil functioning. Best wishes for a new year/decade/century.

Just a note on where we are and what we are doing. We moved to Maine the year PVA closed, that was the year we were working at PVA I was in the kitchen with Willa as task force worker. Our daughter was born that year also. We have lived in the same town I was born in ever since. I have a home based daycare and Elvin works for the state of Maine in the mental health field. He title of his job confuses me it has lots of letters and I can't remember the order they go in so lets just say he has an office about an hour and a half from here and he spents lots of time on the road because he visits his clients in thier homes and spents lots of time taking them where they need to go etc. He is up for employee of the year this year. The kids are 16 and 13 Sandra has her drivers permit HATES to drive Ephraim wishes he could drive. We would love to hear from every one and anytime you are near the Norridgewock/ Waterville/ Augusta area in Maine call us. Hi all, just read alot of the comments, brings back a lot of memories, now for the news update, My wife and I have lived here in Walla Walla since I graduated from La Sierra in 82, I worked for WWC Farm as Field Crop Manager for 8 years, then moved on to ther industry, My wife is an RN, we have two daughters 16 and 14, the oldest has decided to go to boarding academy (I must be getting old), she is at Upper Columbia Acad, near Spokane Wa. Our youungest will start acad next year at WWVA, Life is great espe ially with friends, memories, and hope. It was great reading all the comments from PVA alumni. This is the first time I've visited this page. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Sue Miller? I've often thought about her, but didn't know where to find her. I have two children, Keith, almost 1 who attends Pine Tree Academy, and David, almost 14 who is in 8th grade at Pine Tree Academy. As most of you know, I married Ernie Darrow (class of 70) but that didn't work out and we divorced eight years later (we're still on friendly terms though, rig t Ernie?). I married a great man, Jerry Sawyer, on February 14, 1981, and the children are a product of our marriage. Unfortunately, my husband died of cancer December 15, 1995. But God has been good to us and seen us through the grief process. I am w rking for the Northern New England Conference and live in a log cabin here in Maine. Would enjoy hearing from any of my old classmates. I still keep in contact with some of the PVA people who have no email. Wishing you all a blessed Christmas season.

We really enjoyed our years at PVA, when we left we taught at Newbury Park Academy for only one year. I was asked to join the Music Faculty at Pacific Union College. After teaching there for several years, I found out that I was losing my hearing. Afte leaving the Band rehearsal, I could hear people talk but couldn't make out what they were saying. After an extensive hearing test, I was told that if I continued in this line of work that I would be deaf before I retired. I then accepted the invitation to become Principal of Pomona Jr. Academy sight unseen, where I taught for 10 years. Elder H. D. Lawson, first Principal of PVA, was in the Education Department of the Southern California Conference, so I felt confident wo king with him. During my time there, the enrollment more than doubled. When I announced my retirement, I was asked by the School Board to continue on. I then knew that this was the correct time for me to retire. We had a house built in the rural town of Yucaipa, California and have lived there since 1985. Helen and I enjoy volunteering at the Quiet Hour and we also manage to make a major trip each year. This year we are taking a cruise through the Panama Canal. We are still healthy and looking for the soon return of our Savior Jesus. We will look forward to meeting each of you there. Hello. I'm using the internet at a local library in WV. My RN husband is a canvasser, we have two children in college ages 20 & 23. I see Jim and Kathy (Wethey) Penney occasionally plus Buzz Gilleo/Judy Wethey Penney and that is fun - our children atte d(ed) the same college in VA. I stay at home busy with church work, etc. We live on 6 acres in the country, have built our own home and have lived at our present location for over 16 years. It would be fun to see all my PVA classmates once again. I lo k back at that time as a lot of fun with lots of good memories. Keep the faith for Jesus is surely coming soon! I was so happy to hear about this page! I've often wondered about the people I went to school with and what became of PVA. I can't help but smile when I think about my years there, I wouldn't trade them for anything. Since I graduated, I've lived all ov r the Country but now my home is Colorado Springs, Colorado. For several years I worked as a Marketing Director for a West Coast Sales Company but now I'm a stay at home mom. I have two kids, DJ whos 7 and Danielle whos 5. I would really love to hear from any of you I went to school with especially those that also went to Cedar Brook. Paul, I think this page was a fabulous idea!!

Hi everyone. I think often of PVA and the times I spent there. Since then, I graduated from Columbia Union College in Maryland 16 years ago, married 13 years ago,had a son almost 12 years ago, and have been homeschooling every since. I also am self-emp oyed as a medical transcriber. I live in the Adirondack Park in upstate New York about 50 miles south of Lake Placid. Beautiful here. Hey, I would like to hear from anyone I knew.

God is good. I started my new job last week Friday. My students arrive on Tuesday. I will be the school librarian in not only in an urban school but in the poorest testing city in the state. Our new Superintendent of Schools was hired last spring with the promise that "We will never be last again!" and a prediction that the state mastery test score average will be 10 points higher this September. After a week of pep talks and training, I almost believe him and hope for the kids sake he is right. Not o much that I am volunteering to teach the extra voluntary school sessions he has ordered to start next week Saturday. The older i get the more I cherish God's day of rest.
